This vest was specifically created with Spec-Ops Operators in mind. With closed cell foam flotation / padding panels around the waist it aids in providing buoyancy and comfort. If the closed cell foam flotation panels are not needed they can be easily removed. There are pouches for numerous items such as M-60 rounds/ SAW boxes, smoke grenades, canteens, parachute flares, etc.
